London
Supported Housing
We manage 195 bed spaces of supported housing for single adult refugees in eight London boroughs.
Floating Support
We run a floating support service for refugees in their own homes in three London boroughs (for 110 families and single people).
Unaccompanied Young People's Housing
We have established a young people's service in London. Three housing schemes for unaccompanied minors (age 16-21) have been set up, with other projects in the pipeline.
Medical Foundation Support Programme
We have been working in partnership with the Medical Foundation for Victims of Torture since 1992. Our aims are to settle vulnerable refugees in London in a fully supported and sensitive way.
The Medical Foundation provides a counselling service to deal with emotional and psychological issues arising from experiences of violence, family loss, torture and civil war. We give housing and practical support to help refugees settle and to begin contributing to this society. At present, 20% of our clients are victims of torture receiving support under this programme.
Choice-based Lettings Project
Supported by the European Refugee Fund, our choice-based lettings project was designed to increase refugees' access to housing via the new choice-based lettings systems. The project was delivered in partnership with CBLS providers, refugee community organisations, community volunteers, local libraries and One Stop Shops.
Home Learning Project
Supported by the Esmee Fairbairn Foundation, the Home Learning Project provides one-to-one, home-based ESOL support to 'hard-to-reach' refugee learners. Support is delivered by qualified volunteer tutors, with the aim of providing a route into classroom-based ESOL learning for service users. Contact or call Neil on 020 7501 2220.
